Volunteers meet with USGS stream ecologists in the Junior Museum at McClellan Ranch Park at 5:30 to sort and identify benthic macroinvertebrates collected from Stevens Creek. This is a study of the relationship between sedimentation of the creek and its effect on macroinvertebrate assemblages. This is part of an important nationwide effort to use biomonitoring techniques to determine water quality. For more information contact Joanne McFarlin at [email protected]
